Surviving the Monotony & Effects of Social Distancing

Are you bored?

Have you watched every single rerun of Friends and Cheers?  Have you tried your hand at baking (if you could find flour that is)?  Is your house cleaner than its ever been in all the years you've been living there?

You are not alone.  Everyone is feeling it to some degree and some more than others. Surviving The Monotony And Effects Of Social Distancing

  1. Acknowledge what’s happening, and that it’s stressful.

  2. Stay connected to family, friends and coworkers through regular texting, phone calls and video chats.

  3. Do benefit finding (ie: find the good in something each day)

  4. Try breathing exercises to help calm your mind and body.

  5. Be kind, do something nice for someone.

  6. Share something good with someone. It can be a cute picture a funny meme or even a funny story

  7. Change your expectations; don't add to the stress of the situation at hand.

  8. Manage your news intake and try to find reliable news sources when doing so. Too much news has a way of creating anxiety, fear and hopelessness.  For Over 25 Years We Have Met Life’s Clean Up Challenges with Compassion and Care.
